XEW PLYhl OUTTI, August 2. Xo chance of losing the case on the ground of laek of proof of the contents of a bottle was taken by the poiice when Le.slie Ian Giles was seen to leave a dance at Xew Plymouth and take a drink from a bottle. After Giles had been spoken to bv the poiice, said Senior-Sergeant A. D Buchanan in the ]\ragistrate 's Court at Xew Plymouth, the bottle was found to contain creme de cacao, a liqueui unknown to the poiice. The bottle was therefore sent to the Domburn) Analyst ait Wellington, and on analysis was found to contain a liqueur with a spirit content of 43.7 per cent. "There was no doubt about its potency," said Senior-Sergeant' Buchanan. Told by the senior-sergeant that the liqueur had not been received back from the analyst, Mr W. H. Wood ward, S.M., said it was an expensive liqueur, and Giles would be suitably |punished if he paid 10s costs and the analyst 's fee .of £1.
