(N.Z.P.A.—

Glamorgan Coiiapse Against ki. Bowling

Received Wednesday, 9.10 a.m. SWAN SEA, Augusc 2. Rain ruined ttie New z.ealandGmmorgan match at Swansea, but 11s eftect on the wicket. added some enuercainment before the game was drawh. » New Zealand, after batting only twency minutes 011 the second day, declared at six for ^78, with Walrace 169 (not out), and there was no further play. On the final morning only five bails were bowled by Crejssweil before faln again prevented play until 1.30 p.m. By then there were only two hours of the match left, but in li hours New Zealand bowled Glamorgan for 73. Unfortunately there was hot sufficieht time for them to fOllow on. The wicket was softish, for the raih had soaked through the canvas covermgs, and Cresswell found a spot. He took six for 21 in 13 overs and twice nearly did the hai>trick. He made the ballWise sharply and hve batsmen were caught, and one was leg before. It' was an inspired sped and followed his recent success against Yorkshire, where he took five for 30 in the second innings. It would be interesting to see him work in a test match on a "Swansea" wicket. Burke took three for 32 and New Zealand regretted that there were not two more hours left of the match.
