Methodist Guild Meets
The monthly meeting of the St. John's Methodist Ladies' Guild was held recently, presided over by the president, Mrs. A. C. Kennerley. It was reported that 27 food parcels had been packed an'd forwarded to Britain sihce the last meeting. The Visiting committee reported having made 31 visits during the month of July. Visitors for August, and also church door hostesses and creche attendan'is, were arranged. It was 'decided to hoM a bungalow fair on September 27. Arrangements for the evening programme were left iitthe hands of Mrs. K. Bowater. In connec'tion with the fair, a gift afternoon is tfl be held in the Bible Class rooms on August 18 to which all members of the con- 1 gregation and their -friends are invited. Afternoon tea was served by the hostesses, Mesdames Kings and Vincent, who were accorded a hearty vote of thanks.
