Russian Jamming Of Broadcasts
LONDON, July 30. The Russian jamming of AngloAmerican broadcasts will be mentioned af the next meeting of IJnited Nationa Assemblv, the British Foreign UnderSecretary, Air. Mayhew, tohi the ( omffions. He added that Britain would not retaliate. If the conventions of freedom of information had been cqmpieted, the jamming would have violated them, Mr. ATayhew said. The British Umted Nations' delegates would consider seriously whether the conventions required altering or strengthening. The B.B.C. formerlv had a subst#ntial Russian audience but the jamming cut the audience down. The Russians used 300 transmitters -to prevent Russian worlcers liearing from the West.
