■Received Sunday, 7 p.m. SYDNEY, July 31. A woman and lier two children 'aged four and two years respectively, were burned to death when a kerosene lamp exploded in their tarred hessian hut in the distant suburh of^ Newport early today. , Mrs. Ellen Holmes, aged 30, and her baby daughter, apparently died almost at once and the son,, aged four, succumbed to burns in the Manly Hospital some hours later. A older son living in a. nearby hut, was atvakened by the flames and dashed into the blazing hut. He eouid not see his mother or sister hut 5 snatched his brother from the middle of the fire and stumbled with'him to safety. Nothing was left of the building but charred uprights.
