Koputaroa Institute Meets
The July meeting of the Koputaroa Women's Institute was presided over by the president, Mrs. E. Baker, with a* fair attendance of members. A welpome was extended to two new members and the resignation of two others was received with regret. A report on the group rally committee was presented and the members were asked to notice that the competitions for the rally, to be held at Manakau on September 15, are to be a pair of bootees and mittens, and three girdle scones. An appeal for warm clothing and fresh seeds was received from Corso, and a collectipn will be made next month. An interesting letter was received from the Ovington-Itchen-Stoke link, thanking members for a "husband's" parcel. Following afternoon tea served by t'he hostesses, Mesdames Hood and Horgan, a lecture on adult education was given by Mr. M. A. Nixoh, M,A, A class on cliiid "psychology was subsequently arranged.
