MEETING AT LEVIN
The monthly . meeting of the Levin Women's Institute was held recently. The president, Mrs. Powell, extended a cordial welcome to members and visitors. One new member was enrolled. Apologies for absence were,, received from Mesdames Maugham, Harvey, Leach, Bowater, Mercer, Cook Barnes, Meuring and Wilson. The guest speaker for the afternoon was Mrs. H. Wills, of Palmerston North, who gave an interesting talk on her travels in Germany, Holland and Belgium. The speaker was accorded. a vote of thanks and presented with a shoulder spray. At the request of several members it was decided to hold an arts and crafts 'display some time in Oc'tober, the date to be announced later; The competitions were judged by Mrs. Wills and the resul'ts wereFlowers: Mrs. J.
