School Football Match Won By Otaki
Otaki School defeated Paraparaumu School 12 — 0 in the football match played on the domain on Friday afternoon. Paraparaumu kicked off and play was fairly even for the first ten minutes. From a good dribbling rush V. Jackson scored for Otaki. The kick by P. Bartosh failed. From the half-way line Otaki set up a good passing rush, the ball finally reaching the winger, F. Snowden, who scored well out. P. Bartosh again failed with the kick. The Otaki forwards were getting posses- ! sion of the ball and R. Seal, at first five-eighths, received a gopd pass from P. Davis and, racing through the opposition, scored a good try. The kick again fahed. The halftime score was Otaki 9, Paraparaumu nil. Early in the second spell Otaki were pressing, but a good line kick saved Paraparaumu. Later R. Seal made a speedy run to near the Paraparaumu line, but a free kick to Paraparaumu reiieved the situation. A good rush by Paraparaumu ended in P. Ahipene forcing. Otaki kept pressing Paraparaumu and a clearing kick by the fullback was well taken by F. Snowden, who raeed over to score. Not to be denied Paraparaumu again attacked, but they kicked too hard and put the ball over the dead line. Later P. Davis cleared well in the face of a good rush by Paraparaumu, who were nexfc awarded a free kick for off side play. The ball just failed to reach the posts and shortly afterwards the full time whistle blew. v ,
