OPPONENTS TO BE GIVEN RADIO TIME
WELLINGTON, July 14. The Prime Minister, Mr. Fraser, said tonight that broadcast speeehes on behalf of organisatiqns opposed to compulsory military training, fiad boo11 provided for, Time had been offered to the Peaee and Anti-conscription Federation — which had' claimed in^a jetter to him that it was the ofiicial opposition to the seheme for compulpory military training — to the 2nd N.Z.E.F. Association, to the Oh'ristian Pacifist Society and to the Society of Friends. Mr. Fraser said tonight there- wpukL be no adjournrnent of the -Ildus'e y tbV • the purpose of enabling members to participate in the referendum campaign. The ilinerary for a series of public addresses to be given by the Prime Minister, in support of an affirmative vote in the referendum, is as follows,: Hastings July 18, Auckland July Hamilton July 20, »Wellingtq4... Joly t|iWanganui July 22, Petone 'tfuiy Oamaru July 26, Invercargill july 27,' Timaru July 28, Dunedin July 29, Nelson July 30, Christchurch August 1, Greymouth August 2, In addition arrangements are in hand for a weekend meeting at Westport on July 31 to be addressed by the Minister of Lands, Mr. Skinner, at Vhich Mr. Fraser wili also speak.
