Revised Valuation Roll Of Borough Lands
^ Commenting last night on the revised valuation roll for lands within the borough, the Mayor, Mr. C. F. Atmore, informed the Otaki Borough Council that the following increases had taken place since 1938, the date of the last valuation: — Capital value, increased by £332,503 from £444,492 to £776,995; unimproved value, increased by £105,801 from £87,104 to £192,905; value of improvements, increased by £266,702 from £317,388 to £584,090. "Our rating powers will not be so cramped now," added the Mayor. The finance committee is to meet next week to consider the esti-
mates, with a special meeting of the council to follow the next night.
