Saturday's Rugby Gate
It is offlcially estimated that approximately £97 in gate takings resulted from Saturday's representative rugby game between Horowhenua and Dannevirke, 970 persons paying for admittance, not including 'ihose who had official passes. This compares most favourably with the record gate for the previous representative match, when the union netted £137 15s for the game with Manawatu.
