APPEALS UNDER TRAINING SCHEME
WELLINGTON, July 3. As during the war, provision will be made in the compulsory military training scheme for the hearing of appeals by employers for workers considered essential, and by conse^entious objectors, stated • the Minister of Defence (Mr Jones) yesterday. The scheme would be operated with the least possible disruption of industry. It might be found, said the Minister, that dislocation would be caused in a particular industry by calling a large number of men at the same "time. Although all the men would -have to under go training, an endeavour would be made as far as possible to meet all reasonable requirements of employers. The position of students would also be given consideration.
