Motor-Cycling Activities

The Horowhenua Motor-Cycle Club held a scramble over the weekend on the property of Mr. J. Nicholson at Manakau Beach. Thirteen competitors took part inthe racing which fcwas enjoyed by both spectators and riders alike. The scramble was won by C. Barton, second plaee being filled by R. Gallagher and third by G. Vincent,A spectacular piece of riding by B. Clifton, when he elected to make his own course through gorse and lupins, was enjoyed by the mariy who saw it. Individual times were as follows, the secobd time in each instance being for the reverse lap: — S. Smith, 2.32 1-5, 2.44 2-5: C. Barton, 2.12 1-5, 2.23 2-5; W. Harper, 2.13 1-5, 3.43; R.
