Indoor Bowling Spreads To Ihakara

The popularity of indoor bowling' in the Horowhenua district has grown by leaps an'd bounds in the last few months. New clubs have been formed in several areas, the latest being at Ihakara. A well-attended inaugural meeting recently erected the following officers: — President: Mr. J. A. Mitchell; vice -president: Mr. J. B. Grey; secretary-treasurer : Mr. W. L. Bradfield; committee: Messrs S. F. Atkins. G. Armstrong, G. Flutey, J. Hibell, H. Noble and D. E. Taylor. It was decided to play on Monday and Thursday evenings and the annual subscription was fixed at 10s, with a mat fee of ls per night. The cffib commences activities with a membership of 35 and a credit balance of about £70 to purchase equipment.
