Hoaxing Hoaxers.
Wellington varsity students who had a good time hoaxing everybody else with their Extravaganza were, it appears, themselves hoaxed. A mysterious telephone call, purporting to come from the •'Chinese Communist Party," com- ° plained that Chinese characters in the show were shown to be incorrectly garbed. Unless "offensive , photographs" in the foyer of the theatre were removed, the party threateiijed to take violent action. Result: Honourable Extravaganza officials immediately applied for police protection.
