The- Levin Primary School has •suffered aojasiderable rcductions in cass attendapces of late, 22 being •abscnt to one class out of the class roli of 35, mostly through measles. , Bchool att.eindances are at their worst at the moment. The Horowhenua Coliege also reports re-ductions-in classes through measles and chiekenpox. Position Of Contacts. The principal of the coliege, Mr. N- A, Byrne, said today that the ■ iowering in attendance was also due. to parents keeping other mem- , bers of the family aw.ay from school 1 when .one of the family developed measles. This was unnecessary, as the health authorities didtoot insist on "contacts" remaining away from school when there was a high , incidenee of measles.
