Mary Woodward Chosen As "Miss New Zealand"
WELLINGTON, June 17. Twenty-year-oid Mary Lfapnne Woodward, of New Plymouth, toru gixt won, the Miss New Zealand Quest from 12 other finalists. Her win is a happy pre-birthday gift for Miss Woodward will be 21 on July 3. She is the daughter of the New Plymouth Magistrate, Mr. W. II. Woodwai'd, aiid Mrs. Woodward. Her parents were present in the fowti Hall when their daughter was annoixnced as "Miss New Zealand" at a well-attended ceremony. -
