How a local firm constructed a hole digger for power noles for the Horowhenua Electric Power Board, . thus saving the board considerable delay and expense, was rela-ted at fche monthly meeting of the board on Wednesdav. It was stated that the machine, which would have cost the "board £2Q00 to import, was quoted at £500 by the local firm,- and compieted at the total cost of £577 2s 6d. It was described by the board's engineer as a very satisfactory job. A. complicated piece of machinery, it is the first one built b ythe firm, and is mounted on a truck.' The board decided ,to meet the fuT amount of the account in view of the results achieved.
