WELLINGTON, June 15. Owing to a shortage of drivers for business firms, the Transport Department recommended to the New Zealand Road Safety Council today that a proposal for a 'driver selection clinic to decide suitabifity bcTdeferred meantime. The recommendation was adopted. The regulations applying to motorists who drive while their licences are under cancellation ha'd been strengthened and increased penal'ties provided, reported the chairman, Mr. G. L. Laurenson. It was reported that the Transport Departpient was conducting an intensive Dominion-wide campaign against faulty cyc'es and had riding habits.
