Rugby Union Seeking Big Game In Levin

Action is to be taken by the Horowhenua Rugby Union with a 1 view to securihg a match in Levin { with the New Zealand team select- ] ed to play Australia. No mention was made of the possibility of having the game at Palmerston North as a curtainraiser to this match. It was /decided that the president and secretary contact Mr. N. A. McKenzie, of the New Zealand union, and then the Wellington executive. At a' recent meeting the Manawatu union's executive decided to explore the possibility of securing a game . at Palmerston North between the All Blaeks and a combined Manawatu-Horowhenua team, as a curtain-raiser to the match ' between Australia and Mahawatu-Horowhenua. As, this match will be the last to precede the first test, it was thought it would provide an excellent opportuni'ty of providing a good workout for the All Blaeks before a large crowd.
