Missing Child Believed To Have Been Drowned
PALMERSTON N. June 1. Fears that Trevor Raymond Abbott aged seven, who went missing at Tangimoana last Wednesday, lost his life by drowning in the Rangitikei River have now beeome a near certainty. " Large parties of poiice, Tangimoana residents and air force personnel from Ohakea have combed the area in the vicinity of the mouth of the ri*. er last week, but ^ve . to discover any sign uhat the child had become lost in ihe bush. It is now believed that the child was drowned in the river and its oanks are being patrolled by a constable from Rongotea.
