Croquet Trophies Presented
Members of the Shannon Croquet Club gathered at the residence of Mrs. J. T. Bovis on a recent afternoon when the opportunity was taken to wind up the season and present the trophies. Thanks were extended to Mrs. M. Parr (secretaryi and Mrs. J. T. Bovis (president) for their Work during the syear, and it was decided to make . two small presentations to ' those who had assisted the club. Mrs. M. Parr was pr£sented with the Butt Cup and the Blaikie Brqoch, and Mrs. F. Denton with the Roach Brooch. In addition their names are to he added to the honours board. Both players were congratulated on their fine play during the season. Mesdames Bovis and Parr agreed to hold office as presi'dent and secretarytreasurer for a further term. It was reported that there was every prospect of securing a number of new members for the next season.
