Spending Honeymoon At Sea

AUCKLAND, May 16. On a honeymoon trip aboard the 36ft ketch Galatea, two American exservicemen and their wives, are due to leave tomorrow for Tahiti on their way to the United States. They are Mr. anu Mrs. David Strahl, who were married on Thursday, and Mrl and Mrs. J. P. Halford, who were married on Friday undeterred by the fact that it was Friday the 13 th. Mr. Halford and his wife, foxmerly Miss Anne McKeever, who was for a time a mannequin in Auckland, and Mr. Strahl, came to New Zealand about 18 months ago to study at tjhe Auckland University College. Mrs. Strahl is a New Zealander. Formerly the cutter Freda, owned by Mr. J. Springthorpe, the Galatea has been rebuilt with a galley and extra tanks. Now marconi rigged.as a ketch, it is powered by a two-eylinder 11 h.p. diesel engine which gives the craft a speed of six knots.
