FATAL ROAD COLLISION

; NEW PLYMOUTH, May 16. A fatal aceident occurred this afternoon when a motor car and motor truck collided in a cutting on the 1 Okahu Road between Okato and Opunake. The driver of the car," 1 MR. BENJAMIN CHARLES O 'BRIEN, of Warea, farmer, aged about 50 years, was killed. The truck was driven by Mr. A. F. Pickrang, of New Plymouth. Mr. O'Brien was accompanied by his two sons, one of whom, aged 12, was admitted to hospital with lacerations of the face. His condition is reported to be satisfaetory.
