Shortage Of Steel Closes Big Mill

SYDNEY, May 6. Becauae of the steel shortage Lysaght's tandem mill at Port Kemhya closed down today. It will lose 32 hours' production eaeh week while the shortage of steel continues. In 32 honrs the mill produces 400 tons of sheet steel as well as corrugated and galvanised iron, conduit piping and hollow wire.
