When accused handed him four win tickets, he noticed thaf the tigure ''3" was formed dilferentiy from the authentic tic-kets. He told accused to wait a minute and he replied: "They are not mine. I am cashing thern for soinebody. " He thei. moved away from the queue. Witness said he slnit his window and wTent through the side door of Ihe totalisatoi where he again met accused. He called the manager of the company and when the tickets were shown to the manager thev were immediately reeognised as forgeries. Detective Eden said accused told him he had received the tickets from a man in the hotel bar on~tlie racecourse. A truck belonging to accused war. searched and 41 £3 totalisator tickets similar to the forged ones were found under the front seat. Accused said the man had left theni in his truck. The case was adjourned.
