New Zealanders To Assist British Farming

McMeekan, Director of the Ruakura Animal Research Institute, have accepted invitations to join the advisory panel oi overseas experts whic.h will assist t~h British authorities to iniprove lierds'and inereuse niilk production in Britain. Announcing the formation of the panel, the chairman of the board, Hir Thomas Baxter, said that milk production in England and Wales had already reuched the target figure for 1952 ( 1 ,(i()(), ()()(), Opo gallons) and that as a result it should be possible to diseontinue milk rationing tliis year and to commence the sale of cream to the public next year. increased supplies of milk would also be availablo to ice cream and ehoeolate manufacturers.
