Scotland Yard experts have in- | formed the Chief Constahle of Essex, j that the skeleton of a woman founcl j a month ago in a tumhledown cottage | at Fingringhoe, Essex, and helie /ed 1 to be that of the former occppier oi the cottage, Miss Connie Ada Kent, is that of another woman i whose measurements do not correspond with those of Miss Kent. Miss Kent disappeared from Fingringhoe in March, 1939, and subse-' quent searches of the dwelling failed to reveal any sign of a body or any clue to her whereabouts. Several weeks ago, however, the new village constaDle at Fingringhoe conducted a further search and foimd the skeleton of a woman lying under a heap of rubble. The Essex police at first believed that the skeleton was that of Miss Kent and she might have been the victim of foul play. Now they are confronted by a double mystery — the whereabouts of Miss Kent if she is still alive, and the iclentity and manner of death of the unknown woman whose skeleton was discovered a month ago.
