Personal Mrs. E. Symonds, of Riverbank Road, has returned from a holiday spent with her daughter, Mrs. W. Whitcombe, Wanganui. Mrs. A. Johnstone has returned to her home in Paremata after spending a holiday with, her parents, Mr. and Mrs.. D. Grant, Te Horo. Collision On Main Highway Two lignt cars came into collision on the main road about half a mile south of Manakau yesterday afternoon. One, driven by a local man, I was returning to • Ouaki and the I other, driven by a Lower Hutt resi- . dent, was proceeding north. Folilowing the collision both vehicles were towed back to Otaki, each 'suffering damage. .The occupants were uninjured. Dance To Implement Band Funds More than ordinary interest is 'being shown in a dance which is to be held in the Manakau Hall on Saturday, when two local organisaiions will share the proceeds. To ensure a home for itself, tne' Otaki Band has taken over the Druids' Hall in Aotaki Street, and,, before it can hope to receive much by way of revenue considerable outlay is necessary to equip the hall with seats, tables and other equipment, and funds are urgently needed. A first class orchestra has been engaged for the dance and free buses from Otaki and Levin have been arranged. It is hoped that the atfcendance will be large.
