The Sportsman's Diary
Given beiow are some of the sports fixtures which will be played on Saturday. Cricket Seniors: Foxton v., College, at Levin Park Domain No. 1; Old Boys v. Paraparaumu, at Levin Park Domain No. 2; Weraroa v. Shannon, at Shannon; Levin v. Otaki, at Weraroa. Juniors: College A v. College B, at College; Kuku v. Foxton, at Foxton; Otaki, a bye. Softball Softballers will hold a field day at Kimberley, and are asked to arrange their own transport and lunch. Afternoon games will be announced at the grounds. Morning games are: Ajax v. Aces women, Kimberley B v. Pupnahau women, Athletic v. Achilles A (all at 9.3,0 a.m.). Kimberley A v. Raukawa women, Achilles B v. Wanderers, Pirates v. Wanderers women (all at 10.30 a.m.) . Bowling The Central bowling club will play home and away matches against Terrace End on Saturday, cars -for Palmerston North leaving the green at 12.30 p.m. The following will represent the Levin club in the Town v. Country match to be playe'd at Shannon: Vincent, Best, Burnham, A. Powell (s) ; D. Todd, Fitzgerald, H. Powell, Nicholson (s). Cars leave the green at 1 p.m.
