A meeting is to be held on Monday night a,t the Commercial Gardeners' rooms, when the forma- ■ tion of a greyhound club in Ot-!iki will be discu'ssed. Much local interest in the project has been aroused and since the recent greyhound meeting on the Otaki domain quite a few local sports have become the , proud owners of some speedy ani- ■ mals. , ' Well known perfbrmers in the dog world named Stalin's Pride, winner ; at its last three starts, Palluna, recent winner and placej?ettef, and Boston City, a saphng place getter, are among the ten or a dozen dogs locally owhed. Most. of these competed successfully at a meetifig at Trentham last weekend. Support from neighbouring clubs has been promised for the formation of a club, in Otaki knd, with local' interest 1 continuing to in- ' crease, the success of the project seems assured.
