On The Green At Otaki

The following players from the Otaki Bowling 'Club are to visit Levin tomorrow, a bus leaving the green at 1 p.m.: — Cole, D. Noble, Barron, Robertson (s) ; Gordon, Kendrick, Sherlock, Kearns (s) ; Jenkins, F. Young, Jepson, Pike (s) ; Jensen, Whiteiaw, Winter, P. Simcox (s.) ; J. Noble, Avery, Hurrell, McGi'ligan (s) ; Grice, Lambess, R. Young, Temuera (s) . A tourney held at the Otaki green at the weekend drew visiting r'inks from many parts, including Shannon, Foxton, Plimmerton, Levin and Otaki Railway. The green proved exceptionally keen and m'any exciting heads resulted. A good finish to the day w&s provided when two rinks had to play off to decide the winners, Best, Williams, Meads and Rolfe (s), of Levin, proving victors over ,Barrett, Henderson, Hughes and Symons (s), of Otaki Rai/way.
