Many Anxious To Witness Carnival Coronation
The coronation of Emma, the Queen-elect, which is to take p.^ce on Wednesday promises to fittingly conclude a most successful carnivai. Mrs. L. F. Moss, who is handling the frocking arrangements, reports that everything is progressing well, while the bookings indicate that considerable interest will be displayed. . It is eight years since a similar event has been witnessed locally, and this is doubtless one of the reasons for the interest shown, • many mothers being anxious to secure seats for the family to see this pleasurable presentation. The Air Force Band and concert !party from Ohakea will provide an entertaining programme from 8 to ! 9.30 p.m., with the coronation foJlowing. This concert party will be making its first appearancb locally, and reports are to the effect that listeners will be "royally" entertained. Buses will xun to and from the beach and railway station. ! -a f ^ 1 1 . 'L . " . AL /i ^
