AUCKLAND, March 6, Remarkable enthusiasm was shown Fv a crowd of more than 2000 spectators, when the Olympie high tower diving champion, Dr. Sammy Lee, accompanied by the AufeiTcan jujiior springboard and tOAver champion, John McCormack, njade the first of several appearances at the Newjnarket Olympie Pool last night. Both perfoj'med amazing feats from both the three-metre springboard and the towrer, McCormack specialising in twist dives ancj Lee in somersaults oil the springboard. Lee had to repeat his sensational ' ' Commando" dive in which he somersaulted on to the bo^rd and frqp} there into the wafer. Off the tower he clhnaxed his remarkable perfpymances with a fhree gnd a hajf somersaults dive, this being the flrst time the dive has been peri'Qrined in Ne\y Zealand- The two will tour New Zealand before returning to the United States.
