Air Force Firemen Save Hotel Building
AUCKLAND, March 3. A car valued at £550, garage and pumphouse adjoining the Foresters' Arms Hotel at Riverhead, 22 miles Dorthwest of Auckland, were destroyed by fire about 7 o'cloek this morning. Twelve men with two erash tenders from Whenuapai airport travelled five miles to the fire and eontrolled it within five minutes with extinguishei toam. Two men climbed on the hotel roof, tore off the iron and played extinguishers on the inside of a threatened wall, thus saving the hotel building.*
