Killed When Truck Hit By Train
DUNEDIN, March 3. George Moore, electrician, of Kaitangata, was killed instantly when the north bound express hit the truck he was driving* at Stirling, about 10 o'cloek this morning. His son, Ronald Moore, the only passenger in the truek, suffered injuries and shock. Mr. Moore attempted to cross ffi front of the express at the north end of the Stirling railway station. The engine struek the truck full on and wrecked it. The express was delayed 20 minutes. - ' Mr. Moore was a member of the Otago Power Board for years and was chairman last term. He was recentlv elected to the Kaitangata Borougn Oouncil and was formerly a member of the South Otago Rugby Union.
