Meat Inspection Fees Are Increased

WELLINGTON, March 3. Substantial increases in the scale of fees payable for inspection of meat ?n abattoirs and meat export slaughterhouses, are made by an amendment to the Meat Regulations 1940 gazetted tonight. The increases are dasigned to cover the actual cost of inspection. The new scale is ls a head for cattle and horses, calves up to OOlbs dressed weight 1 d, from OOlbs to lOOlbs 2d, lOOlbs to 1 2501bs 4d, over 2501bs ls. The new scale for pigs is ls and for every 12 or part of 12 sheep, lambs or goats ls.
