Ewe Values Decline At Levin Fair
The Levin ewe fair wafe held yesterday when 3000 ewes were brought forward for buyers' consideration. Vaiues on recent ■ sa es depreciated somewhat, although better class lines met with a reasonably keen demand. Low mouth ewes were hard to quit in most cases, wnile two-tooths met with a much keener demand. Among the prices realised were the fohowing: — On account of A. M. Co.quhoun (Levin) , 166 fouryear ewes, . 39s 4d; P. Shields (Otaki), 164 four-year ewes, 36s; A. Vella (Pahautanui) , 116 four and five-year ewes, 36s 6d; S. T. O'Rourke (Otaki) , 172 five-year ewes, 33s 6d; F. Fanning (Levin), 240 five-year ewes, 33s ld; F. Simcox (Otaki), 57 Cheviot eross fiveyear ewes, 32s 3d; H. Swainson (Manakau) ,' 40 two-tooth ewes, 36^ 4rl
