The Horowhenua A. and P. Assojiation has realised an • estimated lett profit of more than £700 on the /ear's working. This information svas given to members of tne general committee at their Uoual monthly meeting, when the secretary, Mr.- J. E. Ful'artjh, presented a nnancial statement for the year. •The actual esdmated profit subsequent to the majority of the subscriptions of the 835 members being paid would be about £563, said Mr. Fullarton. Added ta tnis, however, would be £150 given as donadons for special classes in 1947-48, which had been held over on account of the show being abandaned in that year. This gave a total estimated pront of £713. The final figures would be within a few pounds either way of this figure, he added. Accounts totahing £580 were passed by the committee for payment.. ... •'lne president of the association, Mr. J. A. Kilsby, said that it was very gratifying to sse ohe gocd results, especiaFy after the poor year experienced in 1948. He paid a tribute to tne work of the secretary, members of the various committees and the general membership, thankmg them for their help and co-operation.
