Jackson's Bay Isolated by Slips and Washouts

WELLINGTON, Feb. 10. Jackson's Bay, 203 miles south from Hokitika, is isolated by slips and washouts in 15 places on the •road, the first being about three miles north of Jackson's Bay. This information was received today by the information section of the Prime Minister's Department. The road to Jackson's Bay was mpassable yesterday and since then 8.44 inches of rain have fallen. Telephone communication has also been broken.
