Bradman 's teStiliionia! matcli in Melbourne yieldeu £94'-4 gross from which had to be deducled entertainment tax and expenses, the game leavjng a net balance of £5*1X5. Donations, including £125 from. the Marvlebone Crieket Ulub, £187 from the English First Class Counties and £50 from the Ceylon Board of Control, brought the total to £9312. In acceptiug the cheque, Bradman said he hoped fthose. great players who had given long service to crieket- in many States, would not be overlooked and that crick|t' administrators were alivo to the question of what should be done for cricklters who, by their de\ otion to the gaiAe^ very l'requently sacnliced the oppoftuuity for business advancement. \ 5 - l
