Ninety Houses Being Built In Levin
During December three dwellings were completed and four started, leaving a total of 90 in various stages of construction, said the building inspector, Mr. H. T. Tilyard, when reporting to the Levin Borough Council on building activity in^Leyin during the month of December. He ;added that the work on . State housinghad not changed, the • workers being on holida,ysI During the month building permits were issued for- seven private dwellings to the value of £11,551 and for one other . building to ,the value of £150. Total perihits issued from April 1 to'Decembe'f $1 are shown as follows, the figures for tne same period in 1947 bemg given in parentheses: — Private dwellings, 86 (50) ; value £145,898 (£82,181) . Other dwellings, 8 (6); value, £3167 (£7795) .
