Japanese Interest In New Zealand Films
AUCKLAND, Jan. 14/ New Zealand National F-ilm Uuit weekly reviews are being shown tp Japanese auuiences by United Stgtes Military Government teams. Tlie iilms have Japanese titles and sound tracks which were added in the American film studios in Toki'o. Reports from Japan state they are followed with keen interest by the Japanese. The films are sliown. with other features, mainly educational. Because National Film Unit releaseg are not op a eommereial basis, unclertakings were obfained thgt the New Zealand films wouid be screened for audienees which had not paid for admissjon.
