Frogs Are Unstable Form Of Currency
LONDON, Jan. 14, A Judge sitting at the- Redruth , County Court in Cornwall, awarded 1500 frogs to John Henry- Skewes, who sued Albert Shortman for £24 or the halance of 2500 frogs. Both men came from the village pf Peace whpre they hrint frogs for medical reseajcft. Skewes alleged that -2500 frogs ; was the pnce agreed for a motor-cypie, but only 88 frogs had been delivered. ■ Shortman said 1000 frogs was the agreed price, wftich he paid, " This littie community appears to think in terms pf frogs, ' ' said the Judge. "They deal on a basis of £1 a hundred. I should thihk no more lncouvepieut currency could have been found since it "is a form with great mobility and apt to disappear with even greater rapidity than pound notes."
