Nations tliat tlie Dutch wouid ignore- any orders to retii'e from territpry recently pccupied in indonesia, says the Associated "Preis.^ TiiO spokesman Said . the Netherlands wouid never comply with such an order. He added that thp delegate (Alr. J. \rau Royen) wouid soon reply in detail to the sharp attacks levelled at the Netherlands by Australia and others, Auierican sources indicated that the United States was' opposed 40 any further efforts by the United Nations Council to order the Dutcli troops' withdrawal as they did not want tlie Council to face another relniif. It is understood tlie United States and some other delegates are primarilv interested in gettiiig the Council to make sure -that elections will be held in Indonesia in the near future and a promise from the Dutch to transfer control'to the-pro-jected United States of Indonesia at a definite date.
