Last Jtme an advertisement was placed in Irish newspapem and in the Institute of Bankers' journal advising that the bank Wanted stafi for New Zealand. Eaeh'man spent three months ih the bank's office ip London before sailing "on the Atf lantis. ■ • " The bank intends to send an^other 12 clerks to New Zealand shortly. Their passag.es are paid and they are bound to work in New Zealand for three years. The director of the Geologicgl Survey Division of the Department of Scientific and Industrial Researeh, Mr. M. Ongley , returned after attendiiig the international. geological conference and the ponjr monwealth conference 'on miheral resources, held in Lpndon. . H. Dunn, latelv assistant chief light test engineer to ihe Brisfcol Aircraft Company, is joining the Air Department as aeronautical engineer. ' He has been responsible for clearing all the latest civil aircraft, including the Solents to be used in the Tasman service. .
