Received Friday, 11.10 a.m. LONDON, Jan. 13. The Society of British Aircraft Constructors announced that ah experimental Beryi Meteor twin. jet fighter climhed to d height of 7^ niiles in 71 minutes. Tlxe plane, in the first minute, climbed two miles. It took only three minutes to climb five miles. The society says the performanee gives an assurance that Britain. is not only resolved to reduce the advantage of the 600 miles ner hour bombers which are about to go into service with many air forces, including the Royal- Air Force, but also has ihe technical skill to do it.
