Nobody Wants Big Mica Deposits
Eeceived Tuesday, 7 p.m. CAXBEEEA, Jan. 11. The Commonwealth Government has been unable to interest reputable Australian or overseas iirms in the development of big mica deposits in the Harts Eange and other parts of the Northern Territory. Government offieials say that because of this, an in--dustry with great eommereial possibilities is being lost to Australia. The high cost of developing the Central Australian deposits, mainly because of their isolation, has made the proposition unattractive. The deposits are vvorked by individual Italians using inost primitive methods. 1
