Stir in British Rugby Circles
- 1 Received Monday, 7 p.m. LONDON, Jan. 10. A former Wallaby, , Douglas Keller, has joined the select band to' play Rugby Uniou for two eountri.es by being chosen to captain Scotland in the international series. ' Keller remained m Britain at the conclusion of the Wallabies' tour. The Daily Mail's sporting editor say's Scotland has surely brouglit to a head a fantastic position regarding the qualillcatiou of players for national Rugby teams. Not only have they selected the Australian Iveller to play against France but they also made him captain of the side. Keller 's ability is not in question but the clioice is a sorry compliment to home players. Something must be done about the qualilication rule. In other games when a plavcr has represented oue country, he canuot play for another — why npt in Kugby? The Tiiues' sporting writer says Keller 's inclusion not only as a member of the side bht also captain, will cause world-wide comment and reopen an ancient argument.
