Replacing power poles these days is an expensive business for | the Horowhenua Electric Power Board, for poles which originally cost 30s are now £4 10s. This was mentioned by the chairman, Mr. T. G- Vincent, at the board's monthly rneeting today. In his report, the engineer, Mr. J. F. Bryce, said that of the j poles removed some had been in j use for 25 years.
